FUNGAL ARCHIVES is a research based photographic series that continuously expands.
The series is comprised of digital photos of various fungi found during travels all over the globe. The objective is a non-discriminatory documentation of every single fungus I come across. Whether they are decayed, digested, stomped or in peak condition..
The series focuses on the diversity of form and variety of specimen. It makes no assumptions about empirical scientific data. It is simply an interest based research project. Empirical Interest Data.
Fungi have been “gathered” in the following locations: Germany, Italy, Tanzania, Portugal, South Korea, USA. A world map of all found fungi and connections of recurring specimen will be comprised and digitally accessible. It is a project that will continue to be updated as long as there are mushrooms in this world.
