Nils Blau STUDIO
… is an independent project exploring ceramic design through form, materiality, and glaze chemistry.
The pieces develop through an experimental approach to clay and surface, where functional and sculptural qualities meet. Forms are shaped, altered, and refined through making, while glazes introduce an element of unpredictability—reacting with the material and with each other to create variations in colour, texture, depth, and finish.
Rather than following a fixed design language, the STUDIO uses ceramics as a space for ongoing research and experimentation. Each object is an exploration of how material, process, and chemistry can shape the character of a piece.
